(More customer reviews)I bought this to replace my aging Kenwood 5.1 surround system.I chose it primarily because I had recently purchased a Sony Bravia LCD TV, as well as an upgrade DVD player.The set up was smooth and easy.I had one issue with sound quality that turned out to be something I must have accidentally done while playing with the effects settings.The phone support at Sony helped me reset the system and all was well.

Good:

Great sound for the price.
Easy set up.
You can sync it up to work seamlessly with other Sony products & remotes.

Bad (but not that bad, really):

Passive Sub-Woofer (If that sort of thing is important to you)
Speakers wires attach to the unit with special connectors.If they detatch, you could be in for a tricky fix or replacement.
The auto calibration is pretty slick, but it doesn't work all that well.Most people (owners in online forums) end up setting the levels manually.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.Right for the price, and a good pick for Sony product owners.

[edit] The more I use this product, the more I want to upgrade my rating to 5 stars (can't figure out how to change that).I keep finding more features that make me happy.
